Rendering of Midtown appears in ad

by Scott Smith on Nov.10, 2009, under blog

I was flipping through the latest Northern Express last night and saw a picture I recognized!

It turned out better than I remember it. I think it holds up pretty well next to the photographs on the page.

And here is the original rendering:

I should mention, this is a proposed building on the Boardman River in downtown Traverse City, MI - part of Tim Burden’s Midtown project.  If you’re interested in the building, give him a call!  If you’re interested in a rendering, call me!

Celebration II by Series Seating

by Scott Smith on Jun.17, 2009, under blog

Just realized tonight that I never posted the video we did for Series Seating!

“Series Seating is the nation’s leading provider of theater seats and pews for worship facilities. Series also provides interlocking stackable chairs with performing arts qualities. Installations include: Thomas Road Baptist, Lynchburg; Free Chapel, Gainesville, GA; and Willow Creek Community Church.”  - http://www.seriesseating.com/

I first met Ron Ogden, VP/Sales at the 2008 Church Solutions Expo in Phoenix.  His booth was across the aisle from ours, so we naturally visited during breaks.  Over subsequent months, we exchanged phone calls gradually fleshing out Ron’s idea for a movie trailer style video clip to introduce their “Celebration II” theater seat.

In addition to this video clip, we also created a 3D model of their seat in a format that could be used by architects and designers in their own modeling software to help them fill auditoriums with the comfort and convenience that the Celebration II offers.

Give me a call if you’d like your own 3D models or videos created!!

Grand Traverse Auto remodel

by Scott Smith on Jun.15, 2009, under blog

As I posted a few days ago, we recently completed a rendering of the proposed remodel of the T.C. Mazda dealership into a new home for Fox Motors Mercedes.  After we delivered that project, the Fox Motors people wanted to see something similar for their remodel of the Grand Traverse Auto building.  As before, we received plans from Traverse Architectural Group and further direction from our client, Lionel Thomas, whose company Pegasus Holdings and Land Development would be performing the work.

Here are a picture of the current building and the future plan.
